Private physiotherapy

As part of your treatment and rehabilitation, we also offer a private physiotherapy service exclusively available to our existing patients.

Our aim is to work closely with you to assist in your recovery and ensure that you leave our care in the best possible physical condition, or with the tools to help you to get there over time. We are also able to support you with techniques that can benefit ongoing pain management.

Our therapists are highly experienced in the management of a wide variety of conditions including musculoskeletal injuries, rehabilitation from major trauma, sports injuries, work related problems and women’s health concerns. All of our physiotherapists are highly qualified and are highly regarded for their research and academic work in physiotherapy.

We offer a range of physiotherapy techniques to help you achieve the best results including:

Vestibular rehabilitation – this kind of therapy is useful for people with inner ear or balance problems, such as vertigo, dizziness or vision disturbances. The exercises are designed to teach the brain to use other senses in order to compensate for the problem areas and may include controlling eye movements or balance exercises.

Hand therapy – this is a useful approach for patients with problems in their hands or wrists. It can be particularly useful after surgery to help to bring levels of movement back to normal or near normal. Hand therapy is a combination of occupational therapy and physiotherapy techniques.

Pilates – Pilates strengthens the core muscles in the body, helping to make it less susceptible to strains, pulls and tears. Depending on the level of the initial injury, the techniques can be adapted to each patient to make sure they are appropriate and effective. Pilates is used in conjunction with other therapy techniques to aid with rehabilitation after surgery or trauma.

Hydrotherapy – this is a programme of exercises which take place in water and is helpful in assisting patients with conditions such as rheumatism or arthritis. Exercises are slow and relaxing, in contract to strenuous activities such as swimming or aqua aerobics.
Massage therapy – our massage therapists are qualified and experienced in sports and deep tissue massage, scar tissue management, lymphatic drainage and pregnancy massage
