ABOUT THE LINDO WING OF ST MARY’S
The Lindo Wing of St Mary’s provides the highest quality of care for surgical, medical and obstetric patients.
As well as our world renowned maternity services, the unit also specialises in a range of complex and robotic surgeries including trauma, weight loss, vascular, gynaecology, urology, ear, nose and throat, and general surgery.
A private paediatric service is available at St Mary’s Hospital for certain specialities, including our internationally recognised haematology service. We offer private outpatient facilities, dedicated operating theatres, modern, private en suite rooms and day case rooms.
Hotel services are provided by our dedicated hotel services team. Our extensive and nutritious menu caters for special dietary, cultural and religious requirements (including vegetarian, kosher and halal meals). All meals are prepared in dedicated kitchens within the Lindo Wing.

- Visiting hours are flexible but the front door closes at 10pm.

- Visitors who wish to stay with the patient may only do so at the discretion of the senior nurse. Children are not permitted to stay.

GETTING TO THE LINDO WING OF ST MARY’S
Travel by Train
The nearest Tube Stations to the Lindo Wing are Edgware Road and Paddington (Bakerloo, District, Piccadilly and Hammersmith & City lines). St Mary’s Hospital, which houses the Lindo Wing, is no more than ten minutes’ walk from either station.
There are also mainline services into Paddington.

Travelling by Bus
The Lindo Wing is well served by several bus routes.

St Marys Hospital can be accessed from the A5 and A40. However parking is limited so if you do choose to attend the hospital by car then we recommend that you come by a taxi or mini cab.
There are a few parking spaces for disabled badge holders within 200 metres of the hospital.All other parking is metered so please bring plenty of change.
If you are travelling from overseas, London is well served by airports.
London Heathrow Airport (LHR) is 18 miles (29km) from the hospital and takes just under an hour by taxi. The Heathrow Express train travels directly in to Paddington and takes less than 20 minutes.
London Gatwick Airport (LGW) is approximately 30 miles (50km) from the hospital and takes around 1 ½ hours by taxi, depending on the time of travel. London Gatwick is not served by the Underground network but there is an express train service available to Victoria Station, which will get passengers in to London in approximately 35 minutes. Please allow for onwards travelling.
Stansted Airport (STN) is 42 miles (68km) from the Lindo Wing, which takes approximately 1 hour 15 minutes in a taxi. The Stansted express train goes directly from the airport to Liverpool Street tube station in 47 minutes. Please allow for onwards journey time by tube.
London City Airport and Luton Airport are also within two hours journey from central London.
