However long your stay, we want you to be comfortable and relaxed. Our friendly hotel services team members will help you and your family settle in and feel at home.

We offer private, modern rooms with en suite facilities across all our inpatient sites. You can also choose to stay in one of our suites or deluxe accommodation.

We offer satellite TV with major international channels, a radio, bedside phone and fridge. WiFi is available, and we offer a choice of a daily newspaper every morning throughout your stay.

Our extensive and nutritious menu caters for special dietary, cultural and religious requirements, including vegetarian, kosher and halal meals. With the exception of some specific clinical dietary requirements, our talented chefs prepare all meals on site to order.

Our senior nurses and midwives regularly review our facilities to maintain our superior levels of service and resolve any issues or concerns. They are on hand should you have any requests or want to feedback on your experience.

Concierge services

If you would like to have an even more tailored level of care, we can also offer our concierge service, through our partner, London Medical Concierge. We have packages available to support all patients, with a special package available to specifically support our maternity patients. Prices start from just £250.

Chaplains are available for spiritual, emotional and pastoral support or advice. The chaplains are a multi-denominational and multi-faith team working as part of the wider healthcare team. They will be happy to visit you at your bedside. Available chaplains include:

  • Roman Catholic
  • Non-specific faith

Our on-call chaplain can contact representatives of other faiths as required. Your own chaplain or faith representative is also welcome to visit you in hospital.

We are able to loan religious texts, prayers mats or compasses for our patients to use privately within their own room. However, we also have spiritual spaces available within St Mary’s Hospital.

Christian Chapel

The St Mary’s chapel is open to everyone; it provides a quiet place to pray or reflect. The chaplaincy team also run services in the chapel, including Roman Catholic Mass every Sunday at 11.00 and Thursday at 12.30, and a Church of England Eucharist every Wednesday at 12.30.

Location – First floor, Mary Stanford wing

Directions – 
From main reception in the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother (QEQM) building take the lift to the second floor. Walk across the red bridge to the Cambridge wing and Mary Stanford wing. Once you have crossed the bridge, turn right and the chapel is at the end of the corridor on the left.

The chapel can also be accessed via the Cambridge wing entrance in Norfolk Place. Take the stairs or lift to the first floor and follow signs into the Mary Stanford wing.

Muslim prayer room

The Muslim prayer room has ablution facilities. During the day the chaplaincy staff will read five prayers in the room, times vary. They also hold special services in the holy month of Ramadan. There is a timetable of upcoming events in the room.

Location – Ground floor, Clarence Memorial building

Directions – Enter the Cambridge wing via the Norfolk Place entrance. Turn left and the prayer room is at the very end of the hallway on the left.

Opening times – 08.00 to 20.00, every day

If you would like to use the Muslim prayer room outside of these times, please ask a member of staff to contact our security team, and they will be able to give you access.

Local shopping facilities

St Mary’s Hospital is just a short journey to the West End of London, and the shopping facilities of Bond Street and Oxford Street. Closer to the hospital is Edgware road, which has a variety of shops and restaurants. Other shops, such as Harrod’s in Knightsbridge are a short a tube journey away via Paddington underground station which is a five minute walk from The Lindo Wing.

Shopping facilities within Paddington station include WHSmith, Paperchase and Hotel Chocolat as well as the Paddington Bear souvenir shop. There is also a selection of fast food and mobile phone outlets available.

Friends of St Mary’s Hospital shop

The shop situated on the ground floor of the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother (QEQM) building. It is run by staff and volunteers from the charitable organisation Friends of St Mary’s Hospital. The shop sells magazines, newspapers, sweets, soft drinks, greeting cards and gifts.

The café situated in main outpatients and is run by staff and volunteers from the charitable organisation Friends of St Mary’s Hospital. The café sells hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and snacks. The café only accepts cash.

Union House coffee shop

The Union House coffee shop is situated on the ground floor of the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother (QEQM) building. It serves Starbucks coffee, sandwiches, salads, baguettes, wraps, soups, paninis, pasties, cakes and biscuits. There is a large seating area where you can eat and drink, and there is also free Wifi available.

Café Qualita

Café Qualita is located on Norfolk Place. The shop sells Costa coffee and a range of cakes and sandwiches.

Vending machines are located in the main entrance of the QEQM building. They serve hot and cold food 24hrs a day.

Directions – Enter the hospital via the south main entrance, walk past main reception and a shop on your right, and a café on your left. Exit through the door at the back of the room, you will see the sandwich shop Subway in front of you. Turn right onto the south wing corridor, after a few paces you will see St Luke’s Chapel on your left. The chapel is clearly sign posted.

Turn right onto the south wing corridor, continue walking until you see a door leading to outside on your right. Walk through the door; you will then see a set of stairs on your left. Go up one flight of stairs and enter through the door. The Muslim prayer room is sign posted.

Pharmacy

The onsite pharmacy provides a drop-in prescription service for outpatients.

Local shopping facilities

The hospital is close to the world-renowned Westfield Shopping Centre which is a 5 minute car ride, a 15 minute walk away, or can be accessed via the No 72, 272 and 220 buses.

Westfield and the City of London can also be accessed by London Underground. The nearest tube station to the shops is White City (central line).

Friends of Hammersmith Hospital gift shop

The gift shop, run by the Friends of Hammersmith Hospital, sells cards, toys, baby garments, knitted goods, sundries, stationary and sweets.

The tea bar serves snacks, tea and coffee. It is run by volunteers from the charitable organisation Friends of St Mary’s Hospital.

Café

There is a café on the ground floor of Western Eye Hospital that sells a selection of drinks and food.

Directions

Enter the building via the main entrance. Walk towards main reception which will be straight in front of you. As you reach main reception turn right and take the stairs to the accident and emergency department. You will see chairs on your right and another set of stairs directly in front of you. The café is at the top of the stairs.
