Dr Tom Prior graduated with distinction from Imperial College London Medical School in 2006. His postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynaecology took place at a number of London hospitals, including St Mary’s and Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea hospitals. In 2015 Dr Prior was awarded a PhD from Imperial College London, recognising his research on the prediction of fetal compromise in labour. Dr Prior published this work and other research in a number of respected medical journals, and has also spoken about fetal compromise in labour to international audiences. Dr Prior is subspecialty accredited in maternal and fetal medicine, with experience in fetal ultrasound and of managing complex pregnancies. As well as this clinical experience, Dr Prior is noted for his calm, caring approach, and outstanding communication skills. While having the experience and knowledge to manage complex pregnancies, Dr Prior is also a passionate advocate of normal birth, and aims to support women to achieve the birth they want, in the safest way possible.

Research interests
High risk obstetrics, including maternal and fetal medicine, fetal imaging and prenatal diagnosis, fetal growth restriction, diabetes in pregnancy.
