Tina Rashid qualified in London (University College London) in 2004 and completed her post-graduate training as a Urological Surgeon on the prestigious North West Thames Rotation, which included London University hospitals such as Charing Cross Hospital and University College London Hospital. She passed her FRCS Urology exams in 2012 and was awarded the Keith Yates ‘Gold Medal’ for best overall performance in the UK.

She undertook a competitive fellowship in female urology at University Hospitals of Leicester and was awarded a fellowship at the European centre of excellence in functional and reconstructive urology in Belgium, Leuven University Hospital.

Miss Rashid was appointed as a Consultant at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in 2014. She is currently the clinical lead for the Genital Reconstructive Surgical Team and has developed the female and functional urology unit.

She is one of the three most senior surgeons (and only female surgeon) in the UK with vast experience in genital surgery for trans women, including labioplasty and vaginoplasty.

Miss Rashid prides herself in taking the time to have open conversations with her patients to discuss their functional and aesthetic expectations before agreeing the most appropriate surgical way forward.

She is involved in research at a national level with a special interest in patient reported outcome measures after genital reconstruction. She is also heavily involved in training urological surgeons of the future and is one of the training programme directors for higher surgical trainees (urology) in London.

On a personal level, she is married to her university sweetheart and is a mother to two overly active children.
