Dr Sunny Nayee, Male
Dr Sunny Nayee trained at Cambridge University Medical School. He has completed training rotations in some of the top teaching hospitals in the United Kingdom including the well-renowned Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in West London where he carries out his NHS practice. He also works at the BlackBerry Clinic in Milton Keynes which treats professional footballers including Steven Gerrard and Rio Ferdinand.
Dr Nayee has a special interest in all types of complex spinal pain. He is one of the few doctors within the University Hospital who can perform Radiofrequency Denervation of the facet joints. He can also perform epidurals for both acute and chronic symptomology. He is also accomplished at performing targeted nerve root and peripheral nerve injections to help pain in specific areas. These procedures are often xray or ultrasound guided. Dr Nayee is one of the few doctors in London who is able to use the new “cooled radiofrequency” technology. Using this he is able to help patients with shoulder, hip and knee pain by stunning the nerves the affected joint. His patients are therefore able to obviate or delay the need for more invasive surgery.
Dr Nayee has a prize-winning career having been awarded the top prize from the Strategic Health Authority’s Dragon’s Den competition which was covered extensively in the national press. He has an interest in patient safety and communication and has presented at the National Patient Safety Conference, Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCOA) and submitted publications in various journals and books.
Dr Nayee regularly presents at national and international meetings. He regularly attends cadaveric workshops in the United States and the Netherlands to learn and implement cutting-edge techniques in the UK. He has submitted articles in multiple esteemed journals. He is a member of multiple professional bodies including the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland, British Pain Society, Spinal Interventional Society, World Institute of Pain and European Pain Federation.
