Dr Digesu’s area of expertise and research studies include urogynecology; pelvic reconstructive surgery, chronic pelvic pain & bladder pain syndrome ( interstitial cystitis), neurourology & neuromodulation, urodynamics, 2D/3D ultrasound imaging, pelvic organ prolapse, child birth injuries, assessment and management of female sexual dysfunction, chronic urinary retention & urinary incontinence resistant to conventional therapy, management of postoperative complications & complex pelvic floor dysfunctions following conventional vaginal surgery and transvaginal mesh surgery and overactive bladder syndrome.
He offers the full range of conservative, medical and surgical treatments for pelvic floor disorders (prolapse, urinary and fecal incontinence, female sexual dysfunction, chronic pelvic pain) as well as minimally invasive treatment of uterovaginal prolapse using keyhole surgery for those women who would like to preserve their uterus thus avoiding hysterectomy. He has also received advanced extensive training in vaginal reconstruction following childbirth injuries and has a wide surgical experience in cosmetic vaginal surgery such as labiaplasty, vaginal tightening, female rejuvenation (vaginoplasty).
He has published extensively in this field and he is author of more than 80 articles in peer review journals. In view of his expertise and research he covers important academic duties both nationally & internationally and he is a well-known invited speaker worldwide in national and international conferences.
Dr Digesu is the programme director of the London masterclass in female pelvic anatomy, urogynaecology & reconstructive pelvic surgery and he is a tutor & mentor at several basic and advanced training courses in Europe using cadavers, video demonstrations, live surgery, animal models, simulators as well as pelvic mannequins for clinicians and surgeons who are keen to improve their surgical skills in all areas of Urogynaecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery. He also conducts national and international workshops to teach the doctors and midwives how to identify and repair perineal tears after childbirth.

Rajendra Rai is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists accredited Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine. He has been a Consultant at St Mary’s Hospital and subsequently Imperial College Hospitals NHS Trust since 2002. He is currently Head of Specialty for Reproductive Medicine and Director of the Reproductive Medicine Sub speciality training program at St Mary’s / Hammersmith.
He was a Foundation Scholar at St Paul’s School and graduated in Medicine from St Thomas’s Hospital Medical School, University of London. He was awarded his MD degree by Imperial College, London.
In addition to providing a comprehensive fertility service, he receives national referrals for the investigation of couples with implantation failure following IVF and those with a history of recurrent miscarriages. He has a particular interest in the role of IVF and chromosome screening of the embryos amongst these patients. He also has extensive experience in specialist fertility surgery, focusing on the correction of uterine cavity abnormalities including the treatment of intrauterine adhesions (Asherman’s syndrome); uterine septae and fibroids.
A specialist pre-pregnancy investigation and counselling service is offered in combination with both early pregnancy care and a specialist obstetric practice focusing on those who have conceived following fertility treatment.
Professor Teoh was born in Singapore and was educated in Singapore, Dublin and Oxford. He has special interests in premature labour and delivery as well as medical disorders in pregnancy.
