Mr Sanjiv Agarwal obtained his MBBS, MS (Gen Surg) qualification from India, and undertook urology training in the UK, gaining his FRCS (Gen Surg) and FRCS (Urol). He has undertaken fellowship training in uro-oncology and female urology at the Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI USA, and has a paediatric urology fellowship from the Sick Children’s Hospital, Toronto, Canada.

Mr Ahmed Ahmed is a consultant in upper gastrointestinal surgery and lead bariatric surgeon at Imperial Weight Centre. He has performed over 6,000 laparoscopic bariatric procedures, including over 4,000 gastric bypasses. He has trained in general and upper GI surgery in the UK and also at Stanford University and the University of Rochester in the US. He trains other surgeons in the field of bariatric surgery and is on the faculty of numerous courses on bariatric surgery.
He is also actively involved in bariatric surgery research and has numerous publications in peer reviewed journals. He is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), International Federation of Surgery for Obesity (IFSO), Society of American Gastroenterological and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), Association of Upper GI Surgeons (AUGIS) and the British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society (BOMSS). In 2007, he was awarded the International Federation of Surgery for Obesity (IFSO) scholarship.
Mr Ahmed is often consulted by other professionals and medicolegal experts for his opinions on complex bariatric surgery cases. His Imperial Weight Centre bariatric surgery unit in London has been designated as an international centre of excellence for bariatric surgery and he now sits on the prestigious International Bariatric Surgery Review Committee (IBSRC), comprised of top bariatric surgeons from around the world who evaluate bariatric surgery units worldwide for ‘centre of excellence’ status.

Dr Abosede Ajayi trained at Imperial College School of Medicine. Following a period of training in New Zealand and at Cambridge, she returned to London to train in emergency medicine and sports medicine.
She took up her first consultant post in 2009 and returned to Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust as a consultant in 2013 with ongoing sports medicine roles within the NHS and as consultant to the British Olympic diving team.

Mr Chadwan Al Yaghchi is a consultant otolaryngologist at the National Centre for Airway Reconstruction and Imperial Voice and Swallowing Centre. He completed his higher surgical training in ear, nose and throat (ENT) in the London North Thames regional rotation.
During his training he developed a specialist interest in laryngology (throat disorders) with a specialist interest in airway stenosis (narrowing of the airway) and dysphagia (swallowing disorders). He visited various international centres including a visiting fellowship to UC Davies Center for Voice and Swallowing, Sacramento, USA. In addition to his adult service, he is an honorary consultant at The Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust where he manages children with complex airway, respiratory and swallowing conditions.
Mr Al Yaghchi is a founding member of the British Laryngological Association and has served on the council since 2013. He is currently the associate honorary treasurer.
Professor Adil Al-Nahhas is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and a consultant in nuclear medicine.
